MY SPINACH PUFFS!! It was the first line I thought of when the spinner landed on The Emperor’s New Groove. I knew that would be the first thing on our menu for our Disney family movie night!

If you’ve never seen the movie, it’s about a self-centered, young emperor who’s advisor and her accomplice try to poison him, but instead, end up accidentally turning him into a llama.
So for our menu tonight we decided to recreate Kronk’s spinach puffs and Kuzco’s poison. We hope you enjoy these recipes!

Kuzco’s Poison
For the kids
- Sprite
- Fruit juice
- Peach syrup
For the adults
- Sprite
- Blue Curaçao
- Peach schnapps

Kronk’s Spinach Puffs
- Pillsbury crescent dough sheets
- Frozen spinach, thawed
- Cream cheese, at room temperature
- Cooked, crispy Bacon
- Onion powder
- Garlic salt
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- White cheddar shredded cheese
- Eggs
- Butter (for coating)
Start by preheating the oven to 375. Thaw out your spinach and squeeze out as much moisture as possible. You can use a thick paper towel over a strainer.
Place cream cheese in large bowl with 1 egg. Add in shredded cheese and dry seasonings, and mix well.
Chop up the crispy bacon. Once the spinach is dry enough, remove from strainer and chop. Add both the bacon and the spinach to the bowl with cream cheese mixture and mix well.
Spray muffin pan (can also be made on a baking sheet) and cut crescent sheets into squares. Place a square of the dough in each muffin holder, leaving overlap on each side. Fill each crescent with spinach mixture. Pull the edges to cover the mixture. Essentially you create a ball around the spinach mixture. Melt 2-3 tablespoons of butter and brush on top of each spinach puff.
Place in the oven until golden brown. Best when served immediately. Enjoy!
